This One’s for Jaime: Tashlin Trailer
I just had this trailer for Frank Tashlin’s Martin & Lewis masterpiece Artists and Models transferred because I know how much writer and film scholar Jaime Weinman wanted to see it. He has a ton of posts on this movie and others directed by the former animation auteur, all worth reading. I suspect another post from him is on the way now that the trailer is online.
No commentary from me on this, other than it’s a fair bit of false advertising for the insane magnum opus it really is. The taglines should have read something appropriate, like, “The movie that made Jean-Luc Godard shit joyous Technicolor!” or “A good third of this movie makes no fucking sense.” But I digress.
